The Danger in Potentially Dangerous - “There were six categories of restrictions on Italian 'Enemy Aliens' During World War II,  600,000 of whom lived in the United States. Not all were treated in the same way, though all, without exception, had to carry pink ID booklets and be subject to search and seizure of their homes and possessions, and restrictions on their travel.

The Martinez Farmers’ Market is open Sundays, year-round located on Main Street from Las Juntas St. (800 block) - Castro St. (600 block). It’s the best place to shop for seasonal fruits and veggies, as well as other local goods like honey, eggs, or artisan cheese!
